UR Medicine provides financial assistance to patients receiving emergency and/or medically necessary care who qualify for assistance pursuant to our Financial Assistance Policy. This assistance is available to the insured and uninsured based on income and personal circumstances.
In keeping with our mission and values to enhance lives and preserve the health of our community and patients by enabling access to a comprehensive, fully integrated network of the highest quality and most affordable care, delivered with kindness, integrity, and respect, Rochester Regional Health offers a Financial Assistance Program. No one will be denied services based on inability to pay and discounts are available based on family size and income.
If you cannot afford to pay for part or all of your essential health care services, you may be eligible for Financial Assistance/Charity Care. We offer financial assistance for insured patients who need help paying deductibles, co-pays, and coinsurance.
Kaleida Health recognizes that there are times when patients in need of care will have difficulty paying for the services provided. Kaleida Health’s Charity Care Program provides discounts to qualifying individuals based on your income and assets. In addition, we can help you apply for free or low-cost insurance if you qualify. If you do not have health insurance and worry that you may not be able to pay in full for your care, the Hospital may be able to help. Eastern Niagara Hospital provides financial aid to patients based on their income, assets and needs. In addition, Hospital staff can assist you in obtaining free or low-cost health insurance or work with you to arrange a manageable payment plan.
It is important that you let the billing staff know if you will have difficulty paying your bill so that arrangements can be worked out. Without that information, your unpaid bills may be turned over to a collection agency which could affect your credit status.

Visit Medicare.govThe Elderly Pharmaceutical Insurance Coverage (EPIC) program is a New York State program for seniors administered by the Department of Health. It helps more then 337,000 income-eligible seniors aged 65 and older to supplement their out-of-pocket Medicare Part D drug plan costs. Seniors can apply for EPIC at any time of the year and must be enrolled or eligible to be enrolled in a Medicare Part D drug plan to receive EPIC benefits and maintain coverage.

To qualify for the Extra Help, a person must be receiving Medicare, have limited resources and income, and reside in one of the 50 States or the District of Columbia.
